THE
WORLDS LEADING FIRST PERSON ACTION GAME IS
COMING TO THE PLAYSTATION 2
Electronic Arts
and id Software™ announced today the
development of Quake III Revolution™
for this years hottest console, the
PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system. Quake
III Revolution will be released in early
2001 under the recently formed EA GAMES's brand.
UK-based development studio, Bullfrog™
Productions, is working closely with id Software
to create mind-blowing Quake III gaming action
that includes a robust new single player
experience as well as classic multiplayer madness
via an action-packed 4-way split screen.
Utilizing the
power of the PlayStation 2 console, Quake
III Revolution throttles players through
amazingly detailed levels of ultra-smooth first
person action, pitting them against the fiercest
warriors in the universe. As players skills
develop, so too does their character as they
blast their way through various game modes until
they are the ultimate battle-proven warriors.
"EA is
thrilled to enter the arena of first person
action games with a franchise as strong as Quake
III," said Bruce McMillan, managing director
of European studios, EA. "Quake III and the
PlayStation 2 are the perfect combination to
create the ultimate first person action game on a
console."
"Quake
III Revolution is a perfect game to
showcase the power of the PlayStation 2,"
said Todd Hollenshead, CEO, id Software.
"Fusing the intense action and unparalleled
graphics of Quake III with the
PlayStation 2, allows us to extend the PC
phenomenon to additional gamers with Quake
III Revolution.
Quake III
revolutionized for the PlayStation®2
are
you ready to play the definitive first person
action game on the definitive console?
