Pulse Racer for the Xbox

Jaleco Entertainment brings the future of combat racing exclusively to the Xbox video game system from Microsoft with its latest title, Pulse Racer.

Due in store December 10, this sleek racer is set in a European urban wonderland where racers careen through futuristic tracks, using the weight of their own bodies and high-tech tools like plasma beams to gain an advantage over the competition. Pulse Racer offers INFINITRAX , a unique, limitless track editing system, that allows players to create any number of custom-tailored tracks to be stored, altered and shared. The INIFINITRAX track generator is one of several hidden game features unlocked by earning racing points. As more points are scored, the player gains more control over track customization.

"We really simplified the process of operating the track customization feature," said Quincy Roach, producer of Pulse Racer for Jaleco Entertainment. "Using INFINITRAX with the Xbox hard drive and Memory Unit, you can load, copy and trade tracks with your friends. No other racing game on Xbox allows you to do that."

Pulse Racer also features a pulse-monitoring system for the racer – accelerate too hard and the driver flat-lines, losing precious moments in a game of speed and style. Full body weight shifting of the driver maximizes speed and control. Shoot the plasma beams at the suspended orbs to slingshot around corners. Up to four players can race at once on the Xbox split-screen.

Developed and published by Jaleco Entertainment, Pulse Racer was designed using Xbox hardware features such as per-pixel lighting, bump mapping and anti-aliasing to enhance the racer’s experience.

Pulse Racer is rated E for Everyone. www.jaleco.com
