Giants: Citizens Kabuto for the PlayStation 2
Friday March 02, 2001
General Features:
Story-oriented single player game, with hilarious characters introduced through in-game cutscenes between missions.
Special portions of the story sequence offer the player a wide diversity of game experiences, including the more strategic-minded Base Building missions and the pure velocity Reaper Racing missions.
Over 45 challenging missions taking players through 16 unique islands, each more colorful and breathtaking than the last.
Play through three different species over the course of the game, each with their own unique weaponry and abilities.
Play in 1st or 3rd person camera perspective - even a head-on camera perspective to view spectacular special effects and animations.
Large-scale effects that are truly amazing - from the Meccaryn Pop-Up Bomb to Delphi's Tornado Spell to Kabuto's massive Cannonball Attack.
Diverse enemies use projectile weapons, magical spells, and group tactics against the player.
Kidnap and recruit "Smarties", island natives that work as a source for power-ups, to build weapons, traps, vehicles, spells or anything else you may need.
PlayStation®2 Features:
On the PlayStation®2, Giants will take full advantage of the machine's incredible power to display insane amounts of polygons. Highly detailed character models, as well as smoother and more organic-looking world models will join with all-new particle effects to completely transfigure the game visuals.
Retaining all the style and humor of the original design, we're simplifying the game's strategy elements for the console crowd. Areas of the game such as base building and giving orders to allies are streamlined for fast, action-oriented game play
The controls and interface for Giants on the PlayStation®2 will be much simpler, giving the player easy access to the core fun elements of the game. Added features such as auto-aiming will be especially helpful for novice players who enjoy the game's style and artistic quality but aren't particularly adept at handling a controller.
Finally, we're improving the save game system in Giants to be more player-friendly, recording game data more frequently so that the player doesn't have to play through an entire mission from the very beginning if he dies near the end.
