Software launch their free online comic - The
Adventures of Tyrannosaurus Tex
Slitherine
Software are pleased to announce the launch of
their free online comic - The Adventures of
Tyrannosaurus Tex. The comic will follow
the adventures of our hero Tex from his humble
beginnings up until the start of the game,
Tyrannosurus Tex the first and only 3D game for
GBC only. At this point the game will take
over and complete the story. The story will
be told in stunning comic book fashion, using a
style and quality matching that of the in game
story sequences. The story will be updated
once every 2 weeks until the launch of the 3D
first person shooter Tyrannosaurus Tex early in
2001.

Software would also like to take this opportunity
to apologise to everyone for the time it has
taken to make Tyrannosaurus Tex for GBC.
When we first started making the game we heavily
underestimated the amount of work that would be
required to bring a 3D game on GBC to
completion. When games are late one of the
temptations is to cut features or reduce quality
to make the game hit its deadlines. This is
something we were not prepared to do, so the only
thing that could give was the thing that did -
the completion date. We hope the gamers
think we did the right thing. We also
wanted to give something back to everyone who has
stuck with us through the long development cycle
and this comic strip seemed like the best way of
doing that. We know it doesn't make up for
the extra months of waiting, but hopefully it
will go some way to make the waiting easier!
