DREAM INTERACTIVE ANNOUNCE FIRST PLAYSTATION* 2
OFFERING; EXCLUSIVE AGREEMENT WITH ACTIVISION,
INC. SECURES 'SOLDIER OF FORTUNE' VIDEO GAME Unveiling
its inaugural title for the PlayStation® 2
computer entertainment system, Pipe Dream
Interactive, an internal development studio of
Majesco, Inc., has secured the exclusive
PlayStation 2 rights to Activison's award-winning
PC game, Soldier of Fortune.
"We're
thrilled to have obtained the rights to Soldier
of Fortune, one of the premier action gaming
franchises, for our first PS2 offering, "
said David Elmekies, Director of Game Development
for Pipe Dream Interactive. "Our goal is to
meld all of the terrific attributes of the PC
version with the tools and features that console
gamers are looking for, such a four-person
multi-player."
In
Soldier of Fortune, players assume the role of
real-life mercenary John Mullins, who is hired to
track down and eradicate a fanatical terrorist
group. With both solo and multiplayer missions
across five continents, players will learn the
credo by which all mercenary's live: hunt or be
hunted.

Soldier
of Fortune is scheduled for release in the fourth
quarter of next year and has not yet received an
ESRB rating.
