EA to Bring Boomerang-Wielding Ty the Tasmanian Tiger to Xbox; Tiger with `Tude Adventures through Australian Outback

Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced that it is bringing its wild, boomerang-wielding Tasmanian tiger to the Xbox(TM) video game system. Ty the Tasmanian Tiger(TM), a character-based action adventure game, takes players through a brilliantly animated 3D environment set in the splendor of Australia. Development for Ty the Tasmanian Tiger for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system and Nintendo GameCube(TM) was announced earlier this year. The game will be available on all three platforms this fall 2002.

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger will offer a light-hearted and humorous action adventure experience where players will take on the role of Ty and encounter a bevy of madcap characters based on real-life animals that are indigenous to Australia.

The game will feature many elements unique to character-based action games including a wide selection of gameplay styles like combat, riding, and puzzles as well as an array of mini-games with mini-bosses. Ty the Tasmanian Tiger will be able to run, jump, swim and glide. Moreover, the player will be able to control Ty's signature weapon, an upgradeable boomerang, as well as his "chomping" ability for new attack moves.

Ty the Tasmanian Tiger is being developed by Krome Studios, an Australia-based entertainment software developer. EA will publish and distribute the game worldwide this fall. More information can be found about Ty the Tasmanian Tiger at http://ty.ea.com
