NCsoft CEO Tack Jin Kim said, "A revolution in gaming is about to begin and it will take place online. At this year's Expo, NCsoft wants to present the future of online gaming as we envision it. We have an exciting lineup of products that will underline this vision and communicate to those who visit us that NCsoft is leading the way in creating and publishing innovative online games." The products that will be on display at NCsoft's booth are: Lineage II: The Chaotic Chronicle--From the creators of Lineage, the world's most successful online role playing game, comes a whole new experience in medieval massively multiplayer games. Set 150 years before the time of Lineage, Lineage II uses Unreal technology to provide an incredibly rich 3D world in which to adventure, siege and conquer. City of Heroes--Anyone who has ever enjoyed comic books or comic book art will not want to miss City of Heroes. Developed by Cryptic Studios(tm), this massively multiplayer online role playing game allows players to live the life of a super-powered hero or heroine, fighting villains, organized crime groups and creatures from other dimensions...all in the impressive 3D backdrop of Paragon City. Guild Wars(tm)--The first title by ArenaNet(tm) (founded by key members of the StarCraft, Warcraft and Diablo development teams), Guild Wars is a game designed to redefine online fantasy role-playing. The mission-based game rewards players for their skills instead of the number of hours they've played, offers balanced competitive play in addition to exciting cooperative play, and features Internet streaming technology to enable dynamic world changes every time players connect. Exarch(tm)--Built in an enormous 3D world that blends elements of science fiction and fantasy, Exarch is sure to pull you in. Developed by Realm Interactive(tm) and under the creative direction of famed comic book artist, Joe Madureira, Exarch provides a unique look at the massively multiplayer online genre. Exarch provides very fast-paced combat and robust questing and faction systems. Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders--This title, created by Phantagram for play on the Xbox, is a real-time combat strategy game in a medieval setting. Here, players take center stage in waging battles against their choice of nemesis -- Dark Legions or Humans -- in cinematic-quality graphics and battle animation. Shining Lore--Also developed by Phantagram, Shining Lore is a massively multiplayer online game with a completely different look and feel! Currently releasing in Asia, Shining Lore boasts bright colors, adorable characters and monsters, and combat, party and social systems. Finally, a massively multiplayer online role playing game that shuns the darkness of other medieval games and provides a different kind of MMORPG experience to the masses!
