TAKE-TWO INTERACTIVE SOFTWARE, INC.'S JOYTECH SUBSIDIARY AND MICROSOFT IMPLEMENT WORLDWIDE COMPATIBILITY AGREEMENT FOR XBOX VIDEO GAME SYSTEM

Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTWO) announced today that its Joytech subsidiary has entered into a worldwide agreement with Microsoft for the manufacturing and distribution of compatible third-party branded peripherals for the revolutionary Xbox(tm) video game system.

Europe's leading third-party peripherals producer Joytech Europe has entered into an agreement with Microsoft to design, manufacture and market compatible third-party peripherals for the Xbox video game system.

Under the agreement, Joytech will produce a full range of Joytech branded products that will carry the Xbox(tm) Compatible Logo. The company intends to begin shipping the compatible peripherals in North America in winter of 2001 and Europe in spring of 2002.
