STORY
These
were great times. But
then the ancient evil
struck and conquered the
land. The king died in
the last battle. The
nations divided and
started fighting each
other.
Now,
20 years later, lost in
the deep woods, you have
to discover the source of
destruction, the secret
of the rulers and restore
the glory of your
father's kingdom.
YOU
MUST BECOME THE NEW TZAR!
FEATURES
TZAR
will try to represent the
medieval and its
fabulous, fairy nature.
The map size can be about
512x512 tiles Big which
is the Largest map ever
seen in such a game. The
player must build a
strong empire to survive.
He has to dig resources
(there are 8 completely
different kinds), produce
military units, build
fortifications, etc. The
game contains three
completely different
races (European, Asian,
Arabian), each one with
its unique units and
buildings.
Each
player can choose from
four completely different
ways to build his empire
- "Way of
Religion", "Way
of Magic", "Way
of Glory" and
"Way of Trade and
Crafts." The
different ways lead the
player to different
buildings, units and
spells. In fact, these
are four different tech
trees.
Each
race has almost 25 units.
The player can group them
and give special group
orders. There are several
formations. The player
can solve his own
formation and save it to
a short-cut. So, no more
mess when your units land
on the coast. The units
have their own AI which
is very helpful during
the fighting.
TZAR
divides the resources
into two major groups ...
primary (which is
absolutely necessary for
everyone to start
building an empire) and
secondary (which is
necessary to choose the
destiny of your empire).
The players can trade
with all resources. There
are two kinds of trade -
"instant" for
multiplayer game (this
one is only applied for
primary resources) and
"delayed"
(which is performed with
caravans, ships etc.)
About the diplomacy - the
player can choose between
several predefined
treaties, adjust the
"digits inside"
and propose them to other
players, AI players or
independent countries.
TzAR
supports up to 8 players
for Internet TCP/IP games
and LAN (IPX) games.
There are also 2 players
head-to-head for direct
cable connection and
MODEM support. The
players can choose from
several predefined
victory conditions (as
conquest, capture the
flag, time limit, score
limit, etc.) or can
define their own rules.
TZAR
includes a map editor.
The players can create
their own maps and
combine them in
campaigns.
To
run properly, TZAR needs
a Pentium 200 MHz with 32
MB RAM. 4 speed CD-ROM,
Windows 2000 and NT,
DirectX. TZAR runs in
