You can now snowboard on new slopes with Cool Boarders 4 that was developed by Idol Minds Digital Entertainment and published by 989 Studios.

With Cool Boarder 4 you have now the option of creating your own rider and snowboard. Your own rider can be created by adjusting the weight, height, outfit and clothing to make be the way you want to look. Or you can choose from 8 riders that are already created. Concerning the snowboard itself you have again many to choose from. 34 snowboards are available from top brands like Burton, Forum, K2, MLY, M3, Salomon, Ride, Morrow and Santa Cruz. Things like your speed and control will be affected depending on the one you picked so experience different one in order to match your style.

In this Cool Boarder they improved the control, the movement of the riders and the gameplay.

After you have win some race real professional riders will be available for you. These are the ones you will find in this game Jim Rippey, J.P. Walker, Michele Taggart, Noah Salasnek, Chris Engelsman, Jason Brown, Chad Otterstrom, Jennie Waara, Andrew Crawford, Tricia Byrnes, Ross Powers, Natasza Zurek, Brian Savard, Darren Cingel, Jimmy Halopoff and yes even Shaun White who has only 13 years old.

You also will have 30 trails that are divided among 5 mountains. Each mountains has a special event that will be unlocked only if you succeed the Pro level. You can choose between different game mode like the Down Hill, Half Pipe, Slope Style and CBX. New combos and tricks have been added like the Hand Plants.

You will find that the series of Cool Boarders are similar from one to the other with more added feature each years. The soundtrack will put you in a racing mood but more songs would of been welcome. The graphics are better then the last one but need more improvement.

The interface is clearly done. With these new combos and tricks for you to try it will amuse you for awhile. The camera has been improved too with a 360 degrees view that you can rotate around you to see your jump or tricks.

Although Cool Boarders 4 could be improved some more it is the best so far for that series. So if you are a fan of this series, you will like the new features and improvements that they have done with this one.
