Fortunately for us the gamers, Syphon Filter (developed by Eidectic and published by 989 Studios) borrows some features an elements from other games of the same kind and the results are very surprising. In Syphon Filter you take the role of Gabe Logan who is a special agent which possest the skillsof a heroe. On a secret mission in the jungle of Central America you discover a laboratory in flame which indicates that terrorists manufactured a deadly virus wich is named... Syphon Filter! The agency for wich you are working soon discovers that a certain Erich Rhoemer is the head of this terrorist group and he wants to release the virus on Washington D.C. (the capital of the United States). Helped by the beautiful Lian Xing you begin your adventure to save America. Syphon Filter is much more difficult than the other games of the same kind and you will need a lot practice and patience. "A bad guy coward behind a statue"	"A enemy is resisting " During your missions you will have the choice between of17 differents weapons (from the simple pistol to the more advance rocket launcher) as well as many items (flashlight, virus antidote). The game's interface requires a little practice but you will quickly find it very useful. The enemies artificial intelligence passes easily from poor to fantastic. Certain weaker enemies will only turn around you and shoot but others more powerful bosses hide behind crates and even tries to avoid your blows. But the strong point of this game is easily the action and controls. The way that Eidectic implement the controls in the game is marvellous. You can easily jump, roll and move while keeping in sight your enemy and inflict him deadly wounds. If you appreciate the new wave of spy games and you seek a game which has action and offers a good level of difficulty as well, do not look any further, Syphon Filter is for you.
