Developed by RFX Interactive and published by TDK Mediactive, Dinotopia: The Timestone Pirates is an action-adventure based on James Gurney's vision of a unique civilization where dinosaurs and humans live peacefully together.

The existence of Dinotopia, a land where humans and dinosaurs coexist in peace, is threatened by invasion of a fierce Tyrannosaurus herd that is searching for the stolen eggs.

Pirates have stolen the eggs from them in order to lure them away.

Clayton, a young Skybax pilot and adventurer, has been recruited by his friends Hyla and Krekor to find and return the stolen eggs and save Dinotopia.

But Clayton will have to get past dangerous pirates who want to keep the eggs where they are now and the Tyrannosaurus nesting area to be free of them so they can hunt for the mystical treasure, the Timestone.

You will play Clayton where you must find all the 3 eggs hidden in 4 or the 5 levels. Each level is separated into 3 sections and there is an egg in each section.

The 5 levels are the Waterfall City, Treetown, Canyon City, Underwater, and the Diamonds Caverns.

After each levels, you must return the eggs that you have found to the Tyrannosaurus' nesting area but they are unaware that you are helping them so you need to sneak

in past the mother without being noticed buy her and place the egg back carefully then get out without being notice as well.

In order to defeat the pirates Clayton's defensive weapon is a Sunstone Prod. It is a long, thick stick studded with sunstones of varying power.

Depending on which stone is being used, the sunstone Prod can be used to shoot lasers with the Red , cause earthquakes with the Yellow or temporarily blind enemies with the Blue. No stone you can use it like a club.

Beside using his weapon he can climb, crouch, grip, jump, sneak plus navigates the Remora, a submersible craft, pilot Stratus his Skybax through canyons and tunnels and riding Krekor, a well-armored Hadrosaur inside the Diamond Cavern.

Through his adventure there are Bonuses, Elixirs, Sunstones, and extra Lives beside the Eggs to be found.

Although you will find dinosaurs you will not hear them talk.

But they are well designed and Dinotopia is for change in peace with dinosaurs.

Dinotopia: The Timestone Pirates is fun and refreshing storyline that will please the fans of Dinotopia.

Please take note that ABC and Hallmark have announced that principal photography has begun on 13 one-hour episodes of Dinotopia: The Series, set to air in 2003 on the ABC Television Network.
