The Legend of Zelda: Link' S Awakening DX is definitively one of best of the series.

Link, the hero of the Zelda series, is back for a new adventure. Well not that new, Link's Awakening, developed and published by Nintendo, was put on the market a few years ago. But, to show the capacities of the very new GameBoy Color, Nintendo decided to remake some of their greatest hits.

The game begins with a small animation which explains you how Link made shipwreck on a mysterious island and loses consciousness. He wakes up in a small hut where a girl and her father explain to him that they discovered him on the beach unconscious. Link learns very quickly that, if he wants to leave the island and get back to his homeland, he will have to awake the " Wind Fish ", a mystical fish which sleeps in an egg. With this intention, Link must find 8 musical instruments which were hidden inside several dongeons.

The new version of Link's Awakening offers two innovations, in addition to the color. A new dongeon which is very easy and which gives you the choice between two

"Link goes to the photographer "

"Link in the new secret dongeon "

objects what makes your adventure much less hazardous. It is also possible, if you have a printer for Gameboy, to print images of Link during its adventure.

But Link's Awakening is not whole rest, some puzzles are very difficult and can discourage certain less patient players and once finished it does not have much replay value.

The sounds are very faithful to the series, such as the " dings " when you find a treasure in the dongeons. The music, that I adore, will also be familiar if you already explored the world of Zelda. The new graphics are much clearer than before, you will even notice the difference if you play on a GameBoy Pocket.

This new addition in the now growing library of GameBoy titles is excellent and can easily please all those RPG and adventure fans alike.
