Banjo Kazoogie is the improved version of Mario 64. A Bear and a small Parrot must save the world against an ugly creature. Watered down, Even with the childish texts and too long explanations, Banjo for Nintendo 64 is nevertheless an excellent game dedicated for younger players. It is a race against the clock to find all the pieces of the puzzle and to thus finish your mission. Again, on occasion, one can wish for a game with too many colors and made for children. What a pity for the quality of the game is lacking. The voices of the characters get on your nerves and the explanations are too numerous to manoeuver your bear cub through so that the gamer loses interest before the first level is even finished. If you're patient and finish the level, you will still find this so even if you get good points. |
There's something else that is an irritation in Banjo Kazoogie, and that is the angles of the camera. It may be due to Banjo's many tightly enclosed areas, but the camera doesn't always follow the action in the right perspective. You'll miss some of the player's normal angles and you'll have to control the camera a bit more than is usual as it doesn't track right sometimes, especially when the bird flies in to help banjo out. Banjo Kazoogie doesn't rise to the level of Crash Bandicoot in my opinion but who knows? Maybe it will climb higher in the esteem of others. The game nevertheless offers several hours of pleasure and the programming is impeccable. For those of you that likely the lively colors and the clones of Mario 64, you'll be happy with this title ! |
