The publisher Ubi Soft, with the help of the developer Argonaut Software, has just created a game with an original and funny story : Buck Bumble.

In 2010, in England, the insect's kingdom around a chemical plant is disrupted by a poisonous chemical spill that took place many years ago. This incident is making the insects evolve genetically and they are now dangerously aggressive and very intelligent. In addition, they have constructed weapons. This insect's race named The Herd has for plan to conquer the Earth and eliminate humans, who don't know what is going on. It's at this moment that a group of friendly insects will create you, under the name of secret project BUCK. You're the last chance for the insect and for the humans and you must save the world from the enemies and from their leader, the Evil Herd Queen.

This game is in fact a flight simulator except that you are a little bee instead of being a F/18. The objectives differ from a level to another : destroy all the enemies to avoid the destruction of your base, drop a bomb in a Herd's Base, and so on. You must quickly learn to aim and to anticipate your fire if you want to kill your enemies at distance. The music and the sound are excellent for a cartridge game . This game includes 19 levels with 6 other levels in 2 different modes in multiplayer. You must extricate yourself with only the help of your 10 different weapons and you will have to face other kinds of insects.

Pretty well armed for a bee!

There is a constant fog that is dense and we can't see very far in front of us whitch make us hard to see. This game can be very frustrating when you are killed near the end of the mission because you must start the level all over again and remake everything you had made. It is difficult sometimes to aim with your weapon because the bee hides our view sometimes. This game will not please everybody because it is, before everything, a flight simulator.On the other hand, it offers beautiful graphics and some excellent visual effects. The control is good for this kind of game and you get used to it very rapidly. You can hover, walk and do loop and that's very useful. The music and the sound effects are mixed well, especially for the opening song. The multiplayer mode is an innovation to make this game even funnier and the idea of putting a soccer mode is a brilliant idea. The arsenal of the character is impressive and the weapons are very useful.

Finally, if you like flight simulators, weapons of massive destruction and well thougt stories, this game is for you. There are a lot of positive points and the multiplayer mode is very amusing even if it would have been more fun with 4 players. If you like to fly, I am sure that you will take a lot of hours to have fun in this futuristic and very bizarre world.
