The popular Mario is back but this time in unique fun role playing game that takes place in a beautiful paper world. When you start the game you will be right away plunge into the story you will see that Bowser steals the Star Rod and imprisoned the 7 Star Spirits. Then you will see Mario with his friend Ludgi. Mario receives an invitation letter from the Princess Peach to join her party. Unaware of the situation with Bowser Mario goes to the party. There he meets the Princess has he talks with her, Bowser comes and lift her castle on top of his in the sky. Mario tries to stop him but now he discover that Bowser has the Star Rod and lose the battle and fall to the ground. There he is rescued by Goompa who will help him rescue the Princess.
Twink and the Princess This game has a lot of depth it is a combination of the old Mario with Pokémon gameplay in it. So your goal is to rescue the 7 Star Spirit first then you will have acquire enough knowledge and power to defeat King Bowser and rescue Princess Peach. When you actually begin to play the game Goompa travels with you then you need to find your hammer then you start your adventure. As you progress with the game you will encounter other friends that can join your party and play with you. Each friend has their own knowledge and abilities. You also have enemies like Kammy Koopa you must defeat along your way. Like your friends, your enemies will have different abilities also so you need to apply the right strategy for each of them when you fight. Every time you defeat an enemy will receive Star Points and different items like Hearts and Flower points.

Mario and the 7 star Spirit You will also encounters other characters like mushrooms that will give you some information and special characters like Merlan that will read your future for 5 coins. You even have mini-games like quiz that will earn you special items like Star pieces. Mario Status bar can be access anytime during the game and displays his heart point for is health, flower point is for using special attacks, badge point to use different abilities, star point each 100 allows you to move up a level, coins allows you to buy items, star power is for the Star Spirit power. The story unfold as you read the events and the characters speak in a white bubble. An other color then white should of been use because after a while it is hard on the eyes to read. As for in between places a white screen comes up in between loading that should be change for something else also. Since the game is in 2d you will have minor problem with jumping, it is like catching a ball with one eye.
Mario Paper Mario excel in many ways. First the gameplay is exquisite and since it has a lot of depth combine with a lot of fun, it will keep your interest for a long time. As for the graphics they are very nice to look with sharp clean colors. The best part about them is it will change with the story like if you get your future read you will have fortune teller ambiance and so on giving you a great atmosphere always. Paper Mario is a fun game that even if you are not a fans of Mario this game will still catch your attention with it's beautiful graphics and deep gameplay. |
