Xena Warrior Princess: The Talisman of Fate is the third game based on the famous TV show Xena. Xena is a character that was introduced in the Hercules TV Show and was supposed to be on for only for 3 shows, but she was so well received that they have done a spin off called Xena: Warrior Princess.

In no time the spin off was more popular and the ratings better than Hercules. Xena: warrior Princess TV Show last year dethroned Baywatch and now as of today is the number 1 watched syndicated action show in the world.

So with all the success and the popularity that the main Character Xena has acquired, it was only a matter of time to see a fighting game made based on the show. Developed by Saffire and published by Titus Games they bring us the first fighting game of Xena.

Not only in this game you will be able to fight as Xena but with 9 other Character of the show itself.Gabrielle, Callisto, Joxer, Autolycus, Ares, Ephiny,Velasca, Caesar and yes even Lao Ma. In the Quest mode you need to fight all the fighter in other get to fight Despair and get the Talisman of Faith.

the VS. mode lets you play against up to 4 players. The Roster mode is similar to the VS. one except that you can select an other character of your choice to replace your first one if it died. And you always have the Practice mode to practice your moved because each character has their own stands, moves, combos and 2 specials Attacks.

Unfortunately the game has a major bug in it. At one point in the game although it might not happened every time but most often then not will the sound will disappeared and not matter what you try to do it will not come back. So you will have to restart your game if you want to sound back. Also more combos and moves would of been welcome. And the single player mode is a bit to easy.

But the best think about this game is the fact that the development team Saffire really did their homework concerning the characters. They paid a lot of detail in the characters itself first they all dress the way they usually do and they very well replicated how each of them fight and act. If your a fan of the show that part you will appreciate that a lot, Callisto really fight and stands fight like Callisto and even screams. The special moves too are from the characters itself like Lao Ma will throw her hair pin. When we have the sound it really immerse into the Xena ambiance of the show. Graphically the characters and the background are well design. the camera also is pretty good will follow everywhere you can even run into your TV screen with your character and it will walk up on it and do a back flip quite neat to see. And this game is quite fun to play with your friends up to 4.

Although Xena Warrior Princess: Talisman of Faith has not the depth of Mortal Combat it really does justice to TV show as for replicated the character and will amuse you with all these characters to fight with.
