Developed and published by Acclaim Entertainment, Vexx is a platform game and actually the name a new action hero with unique Talons abilities.

Vexx used to live peacefully in home town town planet Astara when one day Shadowraith Dark Yabu came to town cause trouble and kill Vexx grand father Vargas, the aging guardian of Overwood.

Now armed with his Astani War Talons is determine to take his revenge and overthrow the evil Dark Yabu.

Vexx can perform many Movement like Jump, Long Jump, Crouch, Duck, Pulse Jump, Wall Jump, Attack, 3 hit Combo Attack, Charged Punch, Alternate Slash Combo, 4 Hit Combo, Rage Attack, Flare Kick, Ground Pound, Uppercut, Recover, Grab, Throw, Push, Edge Grab, Edge Shimmy, Climb Edge, Climb, Dangle, Swim, Surface, Slide, Wall Shimmy, Climb Pole, Perch on Pole, Activate Elemental Power and Joggling.

With his Astani War Talons Vexx can perform Special Talon Attacks like Talon Charges, Charged Talon Activation, Talon Dash and Talon Blast.

During your adventure there will be Power-up that you can collect will not only help you in the game some are necessary in order to progress like Shadowraith Hearts, Soul Jars, Shards, Talon Charge, Reia's Scrolls, Health and Extra Life.

Plus at key pints throughout Astara, Vexx will find ancient power-up that the Astani used to tap into the elemental forces of the War Talons. One will unlock the Air Suit and the other the Rock Suits.

During your adventure you will encounter devices like Sundial, Sundial, Shatterspheres, World Gates, Bounce Pads and Spirit Stones.

Each device will offer you different type of help like changing the time of the day, open portal or give you extra life.

You will be traveling through 9 worlds where there is 70 objectives to complete plus you will face over 20 type of enemies like a Rex and a a Slyphs each creatures are unique and will give you more or less trouble.

Controlling Vexx can be a bit tricky at time since the camera is not that good sometimes objects will mask Vexx totally so it does affect also your jumping.

The graphics are nice and the gameplay is average but it has a cool feature where you can actually change the time of day in order to fight new enemies.

It is also unfortunate that Vexx does not talk that much since the soundtrack uses the Dolby Pro Logic 2.

But Vexx has many moves where he can perform combos he can actually stand up on a pole with one feet that is interesting to see.

Vexx is a new character from Acclaim that offers nice features but still needs some work in order to stands out from other platform games.
