LADYDRAGON.COM - NHL 2K3

Developed by Treyarch and published by Sega, this year Jeremy Roenick who is the center of the Philadelphia Flyers was chosen to be on the cover of NHL 2K3.

The first thing you will notice is that the Presentation system is all new. Sega Sports and ESPN " The World Wide Leader in Sports has teamed in order to give it a professional broadcasted look with the ESPN touch and the feeling and atmosphere of watching real hockey.

In the main menu you can either play a Quick Game or choose a Game Modes of your choice to play. Also there are many different Options that you can set either to make your game easy or as difficult as you wish.

Exhibition, Season, Playoffs, Tournament and Franchise are your Game Modes. There is also a new Game Mode called Sega Sports Challenge where after you have competed in a game you will be given a code to enter on Segasports.com where you will be able to see how you rank compare to other players in the world.

Segasports.com also offers update Rosters for you to download.

In the booklet there is also a Glossary of 15 words in case you are are not too familiar with hockey terms.

All New Franchise Mode – Create a team and develop it into a dynasty. Play the roles of general manager, coach, scout, player and more.

Detailed Player Attributes – Each player is rated in over 50 different categories, resulting in unique players that perform like their real-world counterparts.

Complete Lines Control – Set and customize lines based upon your own strategy and maintain full control over how and when you cycle them.

Improved Play Execution – Teammates work together to set up plays and execute strategy. Defense-minded teams may trap the zones, while faster teams tend to play a more wide-open style.

Revamped Special Teams – Tougher power play units will make you think twice about committing frivolous penalties.

Dynamic Graphics and Lighting – Next-generation technology meticulously displays details such as glass reflections, ice texture, uniform fabric and decals.

Play-by-play with convincing situational analysis and awareness, improved telestrator and more varied game commentary.

Over 30 Arenas – All 30 NHL arenas are represented in the game with extras such as a Legends arena and an International ice rink.

Advanced Physics Engine – Puck movement is more consistent, making passes, shots and saves more predictable and realistic.

The first thing you will notice when you start playing is the control. The way you can control your hockey player has been improved and you can fell it right away. Combine with different good camera angle it really adds value to the game since it draws you into the game.

Plus graphically the game is nicely designed as well as the players as the arenas.

They also had more depth in the Gameplay by adding Sega Sports Challenge and providing a way to upgrade your Rosters.

Sega is known for their solid sports games and NHL 2K3 is must have in your collection specially if you are an hockey fans.
