Bullfrog took what was the best in SimTheme Park from the PC and PlayStation version and made a great 3D Roller Coaster simulation for you to enjoy on the PlayStation 2.

In Theme Park Roller Coaster you will be the owner of a park that you build and manage from the ground up.

You start with one park then has you succeed you can open more parks. They are 8 environments spread on 4 different Theme; The lost World, Space World, Halloween World and Wonder World. Each of them are unique and they have their own rides and coasters.

But in order to be able to build more on other islands you need to manage well your park and meet specific goals like a certain amount of visitors then you will receive awards that will in return earn you Gold Tickets. Gold Ticket are the currency of the game, the more you earn the more features will open for you.

All through out the game you will have an advisor that will pop in and out of your bottom right corner of your screen. He will talk to you and help you with building your park.

This is quite a simple game to understand, you start with hiring your staff like researchers to find new features and rides upgrades, guards to keep your park safe, janitors to keep your park clean, entertainers to amuse your visitors and mechanics to repair your rides when they break down. Then you can start building restaurants, bathroom, rides and coasters even plants and stones to embellish your park. You can design it the way you want just make sure all fits well together and the path lead to each of them so that visitors can access them.

All this cost money so you need to carefully manage your ticket price, too low you will not be able to pay your staff and too high you will not have visitors.

Plus you also need to keep your park clean, save and amusing.

Your visitors also need monitoring, they each have a though bubble on top of their head at all time which makes it easy to see what they think about your park like if your price ticket are well set or not or if your rides are fun or not.

All of this can be monitor with your laptop menu that shows you the capacity, reliability and how fun your rides are.

Many other statistics and options are available to help you like the price ticket setting and researching new rides. You will also receive letters plus your Advisor to advice you on different matter through out the entire game.

You will also be able to see your park up close with the Camcorder feature when activated you become a visitor and can walk around even play mini-games.

All this can be too much at the same time like if you are trying to build a coaster and you keep getting letters or your Advisor pops up in middle of everything it can be a bit tricky to handle and can interfere with your thoughts on how to build it specially when your park if almost full and you are trying to figure out a way to add more rides.

When you use the camcorder some graphics can be a bit fuzzy. Besides that the graphics are very well done for the visitor as well as the rides.

The music blends well with the environment plunging you right into an amusement mood .

Theme Park Roller Coaster is amusing game that can be enjoyed by anyone that likes amusement park even the young gamer.
