Top Secret Magazine - CARMAGEDDON 2

Carmageddon 2 has arrived just in time to compete with Test Drive 5 and Need For Speed 3. However, there is little to compare between these other two racing games and Carmageddon 2. C2 is a crazy race where the true object of the game is to just survive while annihilating the environment. As its predecessor, this game has more than enough collisions, decapitations, etc., as you try to destroy your rivals.

It is true that Carmageddon 2 is completely tasteless, but then again, isn't that what the fans of the game want? The innocent bystanders and animals will explode, stumble, dance, inflate, deflate, and totally blow you away. :) Each car has different powerups that allow the player to affect the pedestrians in hilarious ways. One warning to the younger crowd though - this game is very violent.

The accompaniment of songs by the group Iron Maiden include "Be Quick or Be Dead" allows the heightened emotions of the game some outlet and makes the gameplay very interesting.Overall, the game is much better than the original one and the graphics are superb. Like the first version, you don't have to follow too many rules. You can take it easy and just race around the track minding your own business, but it's a lot more fun and much more easy to try to total all the other cars as you race along the track. No matter which set of rules you choose, you'll still find yourself in all sorts of wrecks, but don't despair. You can magically repair your car at the touch of a button in order to go merrily on your way.

Personally, I have nothing against this game with its exaggerated violence, but others will say it is insane and that it has nothing to offer gamers. I believe that Carmageddon 2 offers a pleasurable game full of action and challenge at the same time. It's one of the better race games out there!
