ACT LABS is a company that has a lot of experience in bringing us quality accessories for us like the RS Wheel. This time they a are back with the Force RS Wheel and this racing system has plenty to offer.

Force RS Wheel is their new racing system with like the name says that has a force feedback intergraded in it. Also the system can be played on the Playstation and Nintendo 64 but with no feed back force though. But it us on the PC where it excel the most.

The installation is quite simple at first put the pedal on the floor plug in onto the console wheel that you put on your table with vice grip that hold it still then plug at the back the pc cartridge then plug into your computer. Well that is where the problem lies if you don't have a new motherboard with USB port well you just lost your mouse. Because it goes into the serial port if you don't have a USB or 2 serial port you will have to struggle with your keyboard to make everything start. Very annoying yes but beside that everything is very simple.

As for the Playstation and Nintendo 64 you just put the appropriate cartridge in it then plug it in the controller input

Force RS Wheel is much better on the pc because it is only in pc that you can enjoy the force feed back feature that is why that they have included the game F1 Racing Simulation of Ubi soft in it .It means that during the game you can actually feel what is happening on the road like running into cars, feeling that you are driving on a wood bridge in Need for Speed or the bump in Monster Truck madness. You also can control the force feedback with games that has a .IFR file where you can edit it the way you like.

The pedals are made that you don't slip on it or on the carpet and are quite comfortable since you have a place to put your left foot on it.

The steering wheel has a 270 degrees turning radius possibilities. The gear shifter is made like a F-1 racing style where you can shift up and down with it.

Since the gear stick is at the back of the wheel it is very well design because it is easier to control and drive that way. The steering wheel is also one of the most comfortable on the market now. It is all cover padded wheel with top notch silk leather. Yes more comfortable than most of the real car has now.

Also it has 7 buttons with a 4 hat- switch in the middle of it. You also have 4 macros on the console itself for the Playstation and Nintendo 64 all these buttons are all programmable including the pedals, the way you like for up to 4 deferent games.

When you are driving you will find annoying that the wheel does not come back you always have to bring it back.

The installation of this racing system is quite easy if you have the right port for it. But the force feedback is what makes it stand out from the others, it really add a lot of reality to your racing games. Although you cannot experience it on your Playstation and Nintendo 64.Force FS Wheel is one of the best racing system on the market now and ACT LABS should be proud of their product because it offers you a new way to play and appreciate your racing games.
