Frogger

Frogger is back from the past. This time with a 3D engine and a new style of play. The biggest question one will ask is; Did this game really need to be remade?

If you have ever seen the original Frogger you will remember the simple idea of getting your frog to the other side of a pond and eating a fly or two. In the update you do the same but on larger play fields and all in state of the art 3D graphics.

What has been lost with the update is the playability of the original. Where as anyone could pick up and play the original, the 3D look of the new Frogger will confuse some people. With good reason too. Frogger

Haven't we seen this before?

In the 3D perspective you do not see what is coming so you end up having to LEARN the levels as instead to just beating them with skill and timing. What that does is make the game not too much fun to play. The 33 or so levels are not that amazing but some are nice to look at and has a good veriety. The sound is much like the original but again nothing to get excited about.

The controls are easy enough and the some of the new moves are a fun new twist. The basic game play is so dry most people will not play the game long enough to find out all the game has to offer.

It is a simple game with a simple look that try's and fails to capture the fun of the original.
