In the tradition of Blade Runner and Sanitarium, Nightlong gives new life to adventure games! |
First, I must admit that before I had this game in hand, I had never heard of Nightlong by Team 17 and Microprose. I was pleasantly surprised by the game overall. It is an adventure game that relates the history of a city that is electing a government and terrorists have plans against the incoming governor. It's your job to discover the people behind the plot. This is an excellent thriller set in the year 2099. The graphic conception and game creation is done in the tradition of Blade Runner, and is a true competitor to this category of superior games. Unlike Myst or Atlantis, Nightlong permits individual acts and true interaction with the environment and object within the game. |
The graphic quality is exquisite and very futuristic. The city LOOKS the way we might imagine our cities will look in the future. The voices are done in English, but the game does have subtitles allowing international talk (e.g., French). The game is very easy to learn. If you have a single mouse with two buttons, behold! It's all you need. All the sounds, ambiance and science-fiction features are included on three CDs. Amateurs and experienced gamers will both enjoy this title. Team 17 and Microprose have done a great job in creating a game in the tradition of Blade Runner and Sanitarium. |
