Robots versus Aliens ! |
Topware Interactive now brings us a real-time strategy game about robots and aliens. The goal in this game is to lead a legion of robots to battle against the alients. You'll have your hands full managing your troop of robots during the missions and you'll have to be aware and cunning to avoid or survive the ambush that you'll find along the way. When playing, the action of the game is a bit slow, but it does have the advantage of giving you more time to make decisions. The control is also slow and is not the more intuitive of those I've seen. Your first move is to build and prepare your team and then afterward, you can take the time to explore the different zones of the field. You should note that you do have a map available to give you hints as to where you are. But don't forget, there are traps everywhere ! You have a decent perspective view in 3D. Unfortunately, most of the colors in the game are dark, but they give you a gamma correction option. |
But be aware that there's something different from the other games - if you want to see the changes that you've made with the gamma correction option, you have to restart the game. the game is more simple than others from the same category and this is reflected by a lack or originality that you'll notice as you play. the environment looks more like an older game. As a matter of fact, the introduction to the scenarios is without any voices and you have to read all the information from the screen like you do in comic strips. I think that for a game of this time, they should have made more of an effort. The sound is fair, but not great. If you find the name or the topic attractive, then go for it. It is an enjoyable game, but don't count on the game to keep your attention for long. I've seen better games, but there is enough stuff in this title to distract you for a while. In other words, if you get the chance to play it, do. But don't run for it. |
