SGRL (Second Generation Research Laboratories, Ltd.) has made it possible for gamers to experience true 3D control. Founder, CEO and President of SGRL, Brandt Cook had a vision. That vision sparked the development of the Titans Sphere 3D controller. At first glance the Titans Sphere may seem a little outlandish, and even alittle intimidating. Keep in mind that the Titans Sphere is revolutionary 3D controller technology. There is nothing like it on the market. The controller is light weight, yet very sturdy in construction. The controller is also baseless. SGRL's emphasis on the Titans Sphere's ergonomic design makes this controller feel right as rain. The controller was designed to be equally as effective and comfortable in the hands of left-handed users as it would be in the hands of right-handed users. Some aspects of the controller could be improved upon. The sphereical shape of the controller is rather large and could be reduced possible 25%. Some of the buttons on the controller are placed too close together and I found myself inadvertantly pressing them. The tension of the springs in the grips might be uncomfortable for some users. Using the sphere is alittle tricky at first (it's like learning to ride a bike), but you'll find yourself mastering it in no time. You'll be amazed at the incredible stunts, combonation and complexity of movements that can be achieved with this controller that would be impossible to achieve with any other. With the Titans Sphere you won't waste your any time searching for keys on your keyboard to preform a function. " Very comfortable grip!" |
" View from the front!" Simply assign the key to the programable buttons on the controller. The Titans Sphere sports two grips (one being bi-directional and the other being multi-directional), aswell as four programable buttons, and a throttle. The layout of these buttons, switches and grips enables the Titans Sphere to be used for a multitude 3D games ranging from first person to flight/racing simulators. It has been optimize also for games like MechWarrior 3 and Quake 2. The controller comes with a more than adiquate length of cord. Installing the controller is as simple as plugging it in and configuring it in your 'Game Controllers' folder of your windows operating system. Thanks to the enginering team at SGRL, you won't have to worry about installing any drivers! Merely selecting '4 axis', '4 button', 'has a point of view control', naming and calibrating the controller is all that is nessisary. And all the installation and programing is clearly explain on their instruction ans on their site so you dont waste your time figuring it out. The Titans Sphere is not just the ultimate 3D game controller, but a powerful tool for aplications such as computer aided design or CAD for short. My guess is that it would be a great tool for virtual reality based programs aswell. SGRL delievers a quality product in the Titans Sphere, and I will be following them closely for more exciting products in the future. |
