Turbo Squid and Autodesk Unveil the Autodesk Certified Animation Program (ACAP) ACAP Program Re-Branded to Update Name from Discreet Certified 3ds Max Software Plug-In Program Turbo Squidâ„¢, home of the world’s largest collection of royalty-free 3D products, and the Media and Entertainment division of Autodesk, Inc. today unveiled the new Autodesk Certified Animation Plug-in Program, or ACAP. Turbo Squid is the worldwide publisher and distributor for the ACAP program (formerly known as the Discreet Certified 3ds Max Plug-in Program (DCP)). The ACAP program offers seventeen premium certified plug-ins for 3ds Max and Autodesk VIZ users, with several more ACAPs in development. New ACAPs will be demonstrated at SIGGRAPH 2005 in Autodesk’s booth #1700, as well as the Turbo Squid/Ballistic Media booth #1051. “The certified plug-ins and extensions that Turbo Squid delivers to the vast 3ds Max software artist community worldwide has now aligned its branding with Autodesk brandingâ€, said Annie Normandin, 3ds Max software product manager. “Turbo Squid continues to provide an outstanding service that tests, certifies and sells plug-ins and extensions that allow 3ds Max artists to realize their creative ideas,†added Normandin. Working together, Autodesk and Turbo Squid will continue to carefully select third party solutions that bring compelling value to 3ds Max artists. These plug-ins are subjected to stringent testing procedures defined by Autodesk to ensure each plug-in works well with 3ds Max software as well as other Autodesk Certified Animation Plug-ins.
