Sam won the toss and serving first. Awful start from Sam, she looses her serve to Love, 1-0. 8 points in row that Sam looses, 2-0. Down a break point, Sam hits 3 aces in a row to finally win her first game of the match, 2-1. Serena holds, 3-1. So far 5-0 backhand winners from Serena. After getting 2 break points, Serena breaks again for a 4-1 lead. After getting 2 break points , Sam failed to break twice and goes down 5-1 and now will serve to stay in the set. Again Sam gets broken and looses the set. 16 winners from Serena compare to 5 for Sam in the first set but really it was her serving that really killed her in the set. Serena wins the second set 6-1 Sam played 2 matches yesterday maybe that why Sam was off her rock from the start in any case, Sam was no show today it was almost a walk over from Serena Serena will play the winner of the Lucie Safarova and Polona Hercog match.
