EDF Renewable Energy Confirms Turbine Order with Vestas for 450 Megawatts By LadyDragon MONTREAL--(LadyDragon.com)05/07/14--7.09am EST, LadyDragon wrote - EDF Renewable Energy (EDF RE) has placed a firm order with Vestas for 450 megawatt (MW) of wind turbine generators, for projects in New Mexico and Kansas. SAN DIEGO--The order is part of the Master Supply Agreement (MSA) announced in September 2013. “EDF Renewable Energy is pleased to be working with Vestas to bring an additional 450 MW of U.S. wind projects online by the end of 2015,” said Ryan Pfaff, Executive Vice President of EDF Renewable Energy. “The projects have long-term power purchase agreements in place with creditworthy counterparties, and will create new construction and long-term operations jobs in the local communities.” “It’s a privilege for Vestas to continue working with a leading global energy company such as EDF Renewable Energy. The 450 MW of orders includes our first V110-2.0 MW project with EDF RE,” says Chris Brown, President of Vestas’ sales and service division in the United States and Canada.
