Maria Sharapova
wins her first match at the Rogers Cup in Toronto over
Nadia Petrova
The last time Maria Sharapova was
at the Rogers Cup it was in Montreal last year and also
her last match for long time.
Thats where she found her injurie
was very serous and has to stop playing. She has been
back for a few months now and said in her post intereview
she was very happy to back and that her play was a work
in progress.
Maria played Nadia twice since she
has been back, lost the first match and won the last
match in Stanford 6-1, 6-2.
Now she has won again in 2 sets
6-3, 6-4 which brings her winning record to 7-1 against
Nadia.
Maria will now face Sybille Bammer
in her next roundl
