The Eye Toy is a small camera that you put on top of your TV and that you plug into your PlayStation 2. The Eye Toy detect the motion of you hands or any part of your body insrtead of using the regular controller. Eye Toy: Play is the first games released that are compatible to play with the Eyey Toy. More games are being developed for device now. When you start the device you need to adjust it to your height and make sure that it is bright enough around you so that the Eye Toy can see your movement. Then when you are all set, there is a little character called Oracle that will guide you on how to use the Eye Toy. After you are all set up to play you can then choose the game that you wish to play. In the Eye Toy: Play there are 12 games that you can choose from: Beat Freak; Hit the speakers in time with the music to build up your score. Kung Foo; Fight off wave upon wave of nifty ninja nasties. Wishi Washi; Hon many windows can you clean in 2 minutes. Soccer Craze; Use your body to bounce the ball around the screen. Boxing Chump; Enter the boxing ring and come out a champion. UFO Juggler; Get those unidentified Flying Objects into orbit. Slap Stream; Use your reflexes to save QT and Yumi from the Ratmen. Plate Spinner; Keep the plates spinning at top speed for top points. |
Disco Stars; Learns some moves and strut your stuff on the dance floor. Ghost Eliminator; Stop those ghouls from escaping the graveyard. Mirror Time; The screen is reversed and rotated to keep you on your toes. Rocket Rumble; Use your skill to unleash a dazzling display of fureworks. All of these games are simple with various levels of difficulty. Eye Toy is a new product that allows you to play in a very original way with up to 4 firends. You can buy it now with the Software called Play that we just mention but starting in April a software call Groove will be available. EyeToy: Groove, exclusive to the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, is the first interactive videogame that enables players to dance in time with music simply by moving their bodies, with no controller or dance pad necessary. Developed by Sony Computer Entertainment London Studio, EyeToy: Groove is scheduled for release in April 20, 2004. The follow up to the highly successful EyeToy: Play, EyeToy: Groove challenges players to take their coordination and rhythm skills one step further. Simply by linking the EyeToy USB camera to a PlayStation 2, the player will appear live, on TV, enabling them to dance along with the on-screen prompts. Technique, style and timing are required as players move their arms, hips and body to the beat of one of the 25 licensed songs from such artists as Madonna, Jamiroquai, and Fatboy Slim.
